Logistics

Our hub of operations is a customised warehouse at Consett, with approximately 1,000 sq. m of internal warehouse space and 2,000 sq. m of external concrete yard space. Materials collected from site are inspected and sorted, before being stored in designated areas for tubes, boards, fititngs and other scaffold materials, ready for delivery as required.

Loading and unloading is carried out in seperate areas, using a pair of 3 tonne Hyster forklifts.

Pride of place in our specialised transport fleet is taken by a pair of DAF CF75 trucks equipped with Multilift drop body systems capable of carrying payloads in excess of 12 tonnes. One is also equipped with a HIAB crane which can lift 1.5 tonnes at its maximum reach of 8m. Smaller loads are catered for using a number of DAF and IVECO 7.5 tonne GVW dropside bodied trucks, whilst a LDV Maxus with a 4m dropside body is used for very small loads.

All of the fleet are inspected and maintained at regular intervals, by the original supplier wherever possible, to comply with the conditions of our Operators Licence, and to ensure they are safe and fit for use .
