7 October 2009 - ISL have become members of the Newcastle Construction Safety Group in order to liase on health and safety issues with other contractors in the North East.

1 October 2009 - ISL have been given Key Trade Contractor Accreditation by Laing O'Rourke following a Health, Safety, Environment and Welfare audit at our offices. Similar audits have also been carried out succesfully by Kier and Mansell Construction Services.

7 September 2009 - Interlink Scaffolding Ltd. are now an Accredited Contractor of the CHAS (Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) scheme, having being assessed as meeting the Health and Safety standards of the scheme.

11 August 2009 - John Barber and Mark Eddy have both completed certificate level NEBOSH courses, and been awarded the National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, and the National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety respectively.

16 March 2009 - for clarification, we would like to make clear that the scaffold collapse that occurred in Shields Road, Byker on Saturday 14 March 2009 was not connected with ISL. The refurbishment of the Beavan Building is being undertaken in two stages by seperate main contractors and seperate scaffolding contractors, with the first phase scaffold erected by ISL. This scaffold was designed from the outset, with additional ties to allow for sheeting, and remains unaffected by the collapse of the other contractors scaffold on the adjacent phase.

8 March 2009 - Jay Hague, sponsored by ISL, won all 3 races on his way to the overall 65cc class win in the first round of the KKMX Moto X championship held on the Thistle Hill track at RAF Topcliffe near Thirsk. This was Jay's first competitive outing of the season, and we look forward to keeping you updated on his progress.

1 March 2009 - following a succesful audit, ISL has been accepted as registered member of the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC), and has agreed to be bound by the NASC Code of Conduct.

24 February 2009 - ISL has made a commitment to work towards becoming an Investor in People, with assessment due within 12 months.

23 February 2009 - a further 4 scaffolders from ISL have commenced the 2 week Advanced Scaffolding course at NETA Training in Stockton, bringing the total number on this course in the last 4 months to 16. The training plan for the remainder of the financial year includes a further 5 Basic Part 1 courses, 8 Basic Part 2 courses and 2 Advanced courses, plus associated NVQ assessments.

21 January 2009 - 4 scaffolders from ISL have succesfully completed the ConstructionSkills Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme.

26 August 2008 - ISL has submitted an application for membership of the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) The NASC is recognised as the national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK, and membership will provide added reassurance to our Clients that ISL aims to meet or exceed the highest of standards.

1 July 2008 - ISL have moved premises to a customised warehouse and yard at Consett. We would welcome visits by our Clients who wish to see 'behind the scenes' and understand what happens off site.

1 April 2008 - ISL has met the pre-qualification requirements for registration with Constructionline.

22 February 2008 - Gavin Larkin, Site Supervisor for ISL, has succesfully completed the CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor course at the National Construction College in Bircham Newton.

14 February 2008 - Darren Maratty, Operations Director for ISL, has succesfully completed the ConstructionSkills Site Managers Safety Training Scheme.
