Above and below - 150m length by 40m width bridged access scaffold for roof refurbishment and construction works at Paisley Gilmour Street Station for C Spencer, August 2011. Due to restricted dimensions between the OLE and lattice trusses, Aluminium scaffold X beams had to be custom manufactured to allow them to pass through the lattice. The beams were then braced in pairs so that the protecion deck of scaffold boards, polythene sheeting and plywood was below the level of the lattice beams to allow works above to be carried out during normal working hours without disrupting the railway below. Due to the restricted loadings allowed on the platforms, the scaffold was founded on a mixture of Mabey soldiers, timber sleepers and scaffold boards.
